Dr. Ricardo “Rocky” Escajadillo graduated Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee, where he earned a Bachelor of Science: Natural Sciences, with a minor in Psychology. Rocky obtained his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee. With more than 10 years of experience in Physical Therapy moved to Erie in 2017 and now works as a Whole Health Program Manager at the Erie Veterans Affairs Medical Center, part of his responsibility is to actively work with the whole health team to improve outreach to the Erie VAMC staff to enhance their overall health and well-being. Rocky plays an integral role for the VAMC as the Special Emphasis Program Manager for Hispanic Employees. He led an all-inclusive Lunch and Learn event for multiple departments promoting cultural diversity during Hispanic Heritage Month. He is passionate about educating others about the many historic Hispanic Leaders in military and in the health field. Dr. Escajadillo has the ability to utilized knowledge of Spanish language to communicate with Spanish speaking residents of Erie. He is committed to proudly serving as the Chairperson for Diverse Erie Commission, advocating and promoting new initiatives for the BIPOC community.
