Marie A. Wells

Marie A. Wells was born in Woodland, California, and came to Erie, PA in October 2000. In November 2000, Marie worked at the front desk as an Office Clerk II in charge of the front office and secretary to the Intake workers, and did the authorizations of services for the clients at Case Management Support Services. At the end of July 2002, she moved back home to California.

Marie worked for Yolo County Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Services as a Steno Clerk II, working in the front offices with the public, hospitals, clinics — doing all office duties, processing payments, dealing with all medical insurance companies, traveling from office to office, appointment scheduling for the doctors and scheduling clients for injection clinic with the nurses. She also worked in the QI-Quality Improvement department processing the authorizations of services for the clients, ensuring the departments complied with all privacy and procedures. She worked at times at the front desk in the DUI / Drug Diversion department, and at the courthouse at times working with the judge for the Drug Diversion Program. Marie was also part of the Cultural Competence program. She retired early from Yolo County ADMH to move back to Erie, PA in May 2015, where she currently resides with her husband Robert, and youngest son Isaiah.

Marie worked for General McLane School District as an Attendance Secretary at McKean Elementary School, then worked for UPMC for four years, and now currently works full time running an office at Countryside Estates where there are 295 homes full of families of all ages. In addition, she is currently a first responder for McKean Hose Company Volunteer Fire Department. Marie is also a parent volunteer for both the McLane Little League and General McLane HS Baseball Boosters.
